Gold coins & In-App Purchases

Last updated 31 October 2026

These terms are part of the Terms of Use. Nowly is operated by JAZIPLACE Software and Online Platforms (commercial registration no. 201558-1) in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

1. Who may buy

Nowly is for people aged 16 or older, and so are all purchases in it. Purchases go through Apple; for anyone under 18, Family Sharing and Ask to Buy apply if the family uses them.

2. What gold coins are

Gold coins are a consumable currency used to get digital items inside Nowly: they are spent, not kept like a subscription. When you buy gold coins, you receive a limited licence to use them in Nowly. You do not own them.

• Gold coins are a virtual currency: no cash value, and they cannot be redeemed for cash
• They cannot be cashed out or exchanged for money, or used outside Nowly
Nowly
• They cannot buy physical goods or anything in the real world (a gift is never a real coffee) — only digital items inside Nowly
• They cannot be sold or transferred to anyone
• The only way to pass something to another person is to gift them an item inside the app
• Gold coins you buy do not expire. Free gold coins — the daily ones, compensation and most alliance rewards — last 14 days from when they arrive, and are always spent first. The part of an alliance reward that comes from gold coins you paid for and spent in your own alliance that week lasts 30 days instead
• When someone sends you a gift, 10% of its value reaches you as Jewels, a second balance beside your gold coins. Jewels cannot be bought, have no cash value, cannot be cashed out, sold, transferred or turned into gold coins, and do not expire. You can spend them on anything sold for gold coins, paying in full with Jewels; they can raise your level but never count towards VIP

3. Buying gold coins

• Gold coins are bought through Apple only
• They come in six packs: 100 gold coins ($0.99), 520 ($4.99), 1,080 ($9.99), 5,800 ($49.99), 24,000 ($199.99) and 125,000 ($999.99). These are US prices; Apple shows the price in your own currency. Your very first purchase comes doubled if it is one of the three smallest packs
• You can also collect 10 free gold coins a day, and 30 on the seventh day in a row
• The price is shown in your own currency before you buy
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase

4. What you can get

• Profile themes and frames for your photo — yours to keep
• Live frames, which move for 30 minutes from when you buy them
• Wearables put on someone's photo in a lobby for 10 minutes — the wearer can take one off with a long press
• Gifts, from small everyday ones to legendary scenes, for anyone with a public account. A legendary gift sent in a public lobby also shows as a card in other busy public lobbies, never in a private one
• Signature themes (1,500 gold coins, with their first colour) and extra colours (500 gold coins each, or 1,000 for all of a theme's colours) — all permanent, yours to keep
• Majlis hospitality: 30 gold coins for a tray served to the people on the mics, shown to the lobby for 30 minutes
• For VIP members only: entrances into lobbies, each lasting 30 days from the day you buy it. If your VIP lapses, a running entrance is frozen, and it carries on when you are back in VIP
• A heart line drawn between your lobby card and a partner's — it only appears once they accept, and either of you can leave it at any time
• For your lobby: its look, and plans for more mics for 30 days (see the Terms, section 12)
• Face-off throws, and the playful “gashmara” tease moves: 30 gold coins each, with fixed outcomes and no chance — and starting an alliance (1,000 gold coins, once)

Some items are timed, and the app always says how long before you buy.

Themes, names and your closet

Profile themes are bought once with gold coins and stay in your closet — they don't run out and aren't used up by switching them on.

• There are 10 signature profile themes, each in four or five colours and priced in gold coins, and you see the price before you buy. Three more signatures are for VIP members only and are never sold
• You choose your theme's colour, and you can change it later at no cost
• A theme is the only thing that colours your name, everywhere in Nowly (unless you are VIP 4 or above with the gold name, which shows instead), and it decorates your photo and your story ring
• You can preview a theme on your own profile before you buy it
• Wear one theme at a time, and swap between the ones you own whenever you like, at no cost
• What you own is tied to your account, not your phone: it stays if you delete the app and follows you to a new device
• If an item is later taken out of the shop, you keep it
• Everyone gets the Nowly theme free. It colours your name in Nowly's colour in your profile header only. It is a gift to all, so it cannot be gifted

Names. The gold name comes with VIP 4 and above; it is not sold.

The gold name does not mean verified. It is a VIP perk, and it is not a badge. The Verified star is different: it goes to well-known people and to accounts that have become very popular inside Nowly, and only the Nowly team grants or removes it, with a recorded reason. It can never be bought.

5. Items never lift a moment or a place

Items change how something looks, nothing more. They never affect where your moments appear, who sees them, or how trending places are ranked. Lobby plans and looks don't lift a lobby in the trend either.

6. Gifts

You can send a gift to anyone with a public account. Each gift shows its price in gold coins before you send it. You choose who can send gifts to you — everyone, friends, or nobody — in Settings.

A gift is a thank-you. It never changes where anyone's moments appear, and it cannot be cashed out. The receiver gets the gift and 10% of its value as Jewels (section 2). Gifts sent in a lobby or an alliance count, openly, towards that alliance's weekly goals and the Face-off score — under fixed rules, with no chance and no cash.

A gift message follows the Community Guidelines, like everything else you write.

7. Standout usernames

Every username starts with an English letter. Usernames of 5 or more characters are free to choose. Standout usernames — 1 to 4 characters, or one letter repeated (4 or more) — are sold only inside the app, with gold coins, and each is sold once. You type the name you want and see its price and whether it is free before you buy.

• A standout name stays yours for as long as Nowly runs and your account is active
• You confirm the price before anything is charged. Once confirmed, the purchase is final and Nowly does not refund it
Nowly
• You can change your username once a month; buying a standout name is allowed at any time. Your previous name becomes free for others
• Names that belong to a company, an app or an official body are protected and never sold
• Standout names are sold nowhere else — not on the web, not by other people. Anyone offering to sell you one is not acting for Nowly

8. Levels and VIP

8. المستويات وVIP

VIP and your level are not a subscription: Nowly Plus is the only subscription, and it is optional (section 8A). Your level and VIP tier are earned by spending gold coins you paid for, and by taking part; they are never sold.

• Your level goes from 1 to 100. It grows with what you do on Nowly and with the gold coins you spend, and it is permanent
• There are ten VIP tiers, reached when the gold coins you paid for and spent over the past 365 days reach a tier's threshold. Each tier lasts 30, 60 or 90 days, by tier; to keep it, spend its keep amount within that period, otherwise, after 7 days' grace, you step down one tier. The thresholds are published in the app
• Only gold coins you paid for, and then spend, count. Buying a pack does not raise anything by itself. Free gold coins — the daily ones, most alliance rewards and compensation — pack bonuses and what reaches you from gifts (Jewels) do not count. The one exception is the part of an alliance reward that comes from gold coins you paid for and spent in your own alliance that week
• VIP brings cosmetic touches (an entrance frame when you enter a lobby, your name in silver or rose gold, and gold from VIP 4, and entrances you can buy), choosing how long each moment lasts (4, 6, 12 or 24 hours; everyone else 4), entering location lobbies from anywhere, discounts on the professional lobby plan (from VIP 4), and up to 100 pinned photos (everyone else: 3). The app lists each tier's touches
• Al-Dana sits above VIP 10, by invitation from Nowly only; its conditions are published in the app
• Levels and VIP never move your moments higher in any feed or trend, and never exempt you from any rule. Gold coins never turn into money and are never cashed out
• An account with the Verified star also has up to 100 pinned photos, and shows the star only, never both marks

8A. Nowly Plus

Nowly Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription, bought only through Apple: $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year, with no free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings.

• Every paid month adds 1,500 gold coins. They are ordinary gold coins that count towards your level and VIP like gold coins you pay for; they are not cash and cannot be cashed out
• Plus adds the full visitors list, incognito browsing and quiet entry, every lobby look except the gold ones, editing and deleting your messages and hiding «seen», chat wallpapers, your stats, favourites, early access to new store sets, more pinned chats, longer voice notes, and saving or posting pictures with the camera's colour filters (one filter is free). Everything else in Nowly stays free

The full terms are in section 10A of the Terms.

9. Final purchases

Anything you buy with gold coins — including a standout name — is final once you confirm it, except where Apple's policies or applicable law provide otherwise. If you permanently delete your lobby, what was bought for it goes with it. If you are 18 or over and request a refund from Apple, you consent to us providing Apple with information about your use of that purchase (such as consumption and account tenure) to help Apple decide the request. We never send this information to Apple for anyone under 18.

10. If your account ends

Gold coins, items, themes and everything in your closet belong to your account. If you delete your account, or it is removed for breaking the rules, unused gold coins and everything you own end with it.

11. Changes

We may change which items are offered and what they cost in gold coins. If we ever stop offering gold coins altogether, we will give reasonable notice in the app so that you can use them. Gold coins or items that reach your account through fraud, an error or a breach of the rules may be removed. If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.

12. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
